Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse is a condition where one or more pelvic organs, such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum, descend into the vaginal or rectal space due to weakened pelvic floor muscles and ligaments. Pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on strengthening and supporting the pelvic floor muscles through targeted exercises, manual therapy, and lifestyle modifications. By improving muscle tone and coordination, pelvic floor physiotherapy helps alleviate symptoms such as pelvic pressure, discomfort, and urinary or bowel dysfunction associated with prolapse. Additionally, education on proper posture, lifting techniques, and bladder and bowel habits can help better manage symptoms and prevent prolapse progression. With personalized care and guidance, we can enhance your pelvic floor function, improve quality of life, and empower you to regain control over your pelvic health.
